Leisure – mindful pause

Leisure by W.H. Davies

Leisure, by W. H. Davies

What is this life if, full of care
We have no time to stand and stare?

No time to stand beneath the boughs,
And stare as long as sheep and cows;

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass;

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night;

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance
And watch her feet, how they can dance;

No time to wait til her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began

A poor life this, if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

The beach

Off I went to the beach yesterday. Ah, those waves…. I hope you find them as soothing as I do.

2 mins of waves

Calm in the chaos

Find calm in the chaos. Ground yourself. I love the woods for grounding, and a white bubble for calm.

My 5 principles

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better” Maya Angelou

The Reiki precepts (guidelines) start with “Just for today: Do not worry, do not anger…” & now we know not to talk in negatives (& saying the precepts daily sort of turns them into affirmations) so what is the opposite of worry & what is the opposite of anger? Here are the adapted 5 principles that I am currently saying, apart from the fifth. Some days just surviving the day is achievement enough and so at the moment I just am.

  • I am calm
  • I am patient
  • I am thankful
  • I am compassionate
  • I am enough

Ho’oponopono

I’ve seen this around for a while and have friends who swear by it. My proper introduction was during an EFT session with a friend so here goes… Let me know what you think.
Angela – this one’s dedicated to you.

4 phrases: I love you, I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you.

And breathe…

From thinking to feeling, from doing to being. Get out of your head and into your breath and into your heart ❤
